Evening with the Artists
Monday, August 2nd, 8:00pm
O’Shaughnessy Center/Whitefish

Join Maestro Zoltek as he plays host to an entertaining evening of behind the scenes conversation with guests Heidi Krutzen, Lorna McGhee, Joel Fan and Seattle based choreographer Karin Stevens. Get to know these special artists, and hear examples of their work and share refreshments with friends. A great way to start the festival!


Chamber Night 1 Quartet Inspirations
Tuesday, August 3rd, 8:00pm
O’Shaughnessy Center/Whitefish

Our opening chamber program features both the Glacier and Bridger String Quartets with special guest oboist Reid Merley, Principal oboe with the Glacier Symphony and Festival Amadeus Orchestra. Hear these two Montana ensembles in an intimate setting.

Chamber Night 2 Breathing Arches of Silver Sound
Wednesday, August 4th
O’Shaughnessy Center/Whitefish

Enjoy this night of elegant chamber music featuring the Krutzen/McGhee flute/harp duo from Vancouver, Canada presenting works by Bach, Farr, Piazzolla, Saint-Saens and others. Portland based violist Miriam English Ward joins the duo for French music by Ibert and Debussy.

Chamber Night 3 Extravaganza

O’Shaughnessy Center/Whitefish

NYC based pianist extraordinaire Joel Fan leads a substantial program of emotionally inspired music by Mozart, Beethoven and Schumann. He begins with a set of pieces by Brazilian and American composers then teams respectively with McClendon, VanDyke, English Ward and Poe-Kiser for a concert that has virtuosic and inspirational power to spare!

Mozart, Parisian Gallant
Friday, August 6th, 8:00pm
Christian Center/Kalispell

Mozart composed the unique Concerto for Flute and Harp during his visit to Paris. This beautiful work features the combined artistry of Krutzen and McGhee as duel soloists with the Festival Amadeus Orchestra. The much beloved Symphony No. 40 in G minor and the early Lucio Silla opera Overture completes this all Mozart program.

“Harmony of the World”

A harmonious evening where great music is presented through choreographic work. This unique concert features a variety of works for strings and string orchestra by Bach, Vivaldi, Grieg, Corigliano, Copland and Mozart interpreted through the choreography work of Karin Stevens and her company of five dancers.

Fantastic Finale Mozart’s Glorious C major

Christian Center/Kalispell

Our FA finale features pianist Joel Fan performing one of Mozart’s most popular piano concertos, No. 21 in C major and a solo selection by Robert Schumann whose 100th anniversary we celebrate this year. The Festival Amadeus Orchestra also offers Mendelssohn’s famous “Italian” symphony adding distinctive musical flair and spark to the evening.
